Uber and FREE NOW taxi are available in Gdańsk. All you need is to download Uber or FREE NOW application on your mobile. They can pick you up directly at the airport. All top car hire companies are available at Gdańsk airport. The biggest companies such as Avis, Hertz and Europcar have their offices located in the arrival terminal. You can pick up the car directly at the airport. See more.

By train

It’s defnitely the cheapest and often the fastest way to get to Gdańsk city center, to Gdynia or to Sopot. Taking a train you avoid heavy traffic which might be a case when taking a bus or a taxi.

The train stop - Gdańsk Port Lotniczy (Gdansk Airport) is located directly at the passenger terminal T2 and is connected to it by a special tunnel for passengers. The train tickets are available in the ticket office, ticket machine located at the train stops or in the train.

 
Trip time and cost:

 

  • The train to Gdańsk Główny (main train station) or Gdańsk Śródmieście (Gdańsk downtown train station) leaves about every 30 min. The trip takes 40-45 minutes but requires train change in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz. The single adult ticket costs 3,80 PLN

         (∼1 eur).

  • The train to Gdynia Główna Osobowa (main railway station) leaves about every 30 min. The trip takes 40-45 minutes. The single adult ticket costs 6,50 PLN (∼1,5 eur).
  • To get to Sopot you first need to take a train to Gdynia Główna Osobowa (see above) and then change to another fast train (marked with SKM on the direction signs) to Sopot. The train goes every 10-15 min and the trip takes 10 minutes.

 

By bus

There are 4 bus lines available directly from the airport to Gdańsk: 210, 110, 122 and night line N3. However only 210 line will take you directly to Gdańsk Główny city center (main train station) with no need to change to another bus or tram. It’s the cheapest way to get to city center however heavy traffic on the road might prolong your trip significantly.

The bus to Gdańsk Główny (main train station) leaves about every 30 minutes. The trip takes about 30-40 minutes and a single adult ticket costs 3,20 PLN (0, 75 eur). You can buy the ticket online using jakdojade.pl app.

 

By Uber or FREE NOW taxi

Uber and FREE NOW taxi are available in Gdańsk. All ou need is to download Uber or FREE NOW  application on your mobile. They can pick you up directly at the airport. It’s more expensive than by public transportation. It can be also more convenient and faster than by a public transportation as far as there’s no heavy traffic on the road. Please observe the the trip time might differ due to temporary heavy traffic on the road.

 

Trip time and cost:

  • The taxi drive to Gdańsk Główny (main train station)  takes 20-30 minutes and costs about  25-45 PLN (6-10 eur).
  • The taxi drive to Gdynia Główna Osobowa (main railway station) takes 30-40 minutes and costs 45-65 PLN (10-15 eur).
  • The taxi drive to Sopot (main railway station) takes 20-30 minutes and costs 35-55 PLN (8-13 eur).
