Make the most of your time in port

After such an illuminating start to your tour, you’ll look forward to discovering the sights and sounds of the historic Old City of Gdańsk. Here is a corner of Poland that is teeming with atmosphere; from the medieval to the Gothic, you’ll definitely find this a rich and interesting place to explore.
You’ll be spoilt for choice as there’s so much to see and do in Gdańsk Old Town. The area is mainly pedestrianised which makes exploring a much more relaxing experience. Not to be missed is St Mary’s Street, one of the most beautiful streets in Europe. This wonderful walkway leads you to St Mary’s Basilica, the largest brick-built shrine in the world and one of the highlights of the Old Town. Inside you’ll discover the gothic altars, one of the world’s largest medieval clocks and The Last Judgement, a painting by Hans Memling.

The hustle and bustle of the Long Market also gives you the chance to indulge in some holiday shopping. – don’t forget your guide can advise on where to go to find the best holiday souvenirs. Try to make time to see Neptune Fountain, Artus Court and The Golden House. Also not to be missed, the Town Hall is a beautiful building and perfect photo opportunity.

We guarantee to get you back to your ship on time! We schedule your return to port to ensure you arrive in plenty of time to re-join your ship - normally 1 hour before the scheduled sailing time. All tour times are based on Shore time (ie local time, - not ship time)
