The highlights of your visit to Sopot will be a stroll along the famous Monte Casino promenade. Here you’ll discover Molo. At an amazing 1700 feet long, Molo is the longest wooden pier in Europe and an important part of national history. From here, you’ll make your way to the very heart of Gdańsk – the Old Town. You’ll find much to see and do here – perhaps too much to fit into one day in fact. There are plenty of famous and interesting places to visit in the Old Town, but a real ‘must’ is St Mary’s Street. Many people claim this is the most beautiful street in the whole of Europe – so you’ll need to take a look and decide for yourself. As you continue along St Mary’s Street, you’ll arrive at St Mary’s Basilica. This world-famous historical site is the largest brick-built shrine in the world. Take a look inside for a feast of gothic and medieval spectacles including alters, the world’s largest medieval clock and The Last Judgement, a painting by Hans Memling. In between taking time out to sample the delicious food and drink available there are a whole host of hotspots to attract your attention including the Town Hall, Long Market, Neptune Fountain, Artus Court and The Golden House.
